DEDICATE final seminar

The activities of DEDICATE are coming to a conclusion and we are approaching the last initiative of this project – a seminar aimed at discussing the issues and initiatives related to the Information Management of the Built Environment related data. This event will try to present the diverse operative and disciplinary approaches to the curation of the digital information concerning Architecture to demonstrate the cultural and technical convergence of the initiatives in this field and propose a common agenda to tackle both its shared problems and its discipline specific issues.

Are solutions at the intersections between domains?

The event will take place on the 21st of October and will be hosted at the University of Glasgow.

The seminar is especially addressed at researchers, archivists, librarians, museum curators, practitioners from the AEC (Architecture Engineering Construction) sector and programmers. This DEDICATE event is free and open to everyone but a booking will be mandatory – in few days the Eventbrite page of the seminar will be available to reserve places.

We will soon release details of the event's schedule too but we can anticipate that the following will be some of the topics of the presentations: the digital survey of Built Heritage; the long-term retention of authoritative spatial data, and especially CAD data files; Building Information Modelling; Information Management for the Architecture; Generative Design.
